who we are

Guided by values rooted in history

1986

From humble beginnings, founder Terry Brookes established the accountancy practice, Brookes & Co. from his home in Essex, UK.

1990s-2001

Philip Button joined Terry Brookes as Managing Director to drive the international success of Brookes & Co., solidifying them as one of the UK’s key tax and investment specialists.

2002-2007

Brookes & Co. officially became Brookes Property Group, as we diversified into the property sector, taking our first venture into Florida’s property market. We discovered high demand and viability for property investments.

2008-2010

We sourced unique opportunities in the Caribbean, including Antigua and the Bahamas. We acquired bulk property discounted at low values, following the financial crash in 2008 and presented the below-market-value opportunities to new and existing clients.

2011-2016

We revisited Florida’s property market amid record low prices, acquiring profitable investment opportunities, affording our clients exceptional capital gains.

2017-Present

We became the sole developer for our own projects, acquiring UK-based projects for ground-up developments. We ventured further afield to the beautiful Bahamas and expanded into the European property market. In particular, falling supply and strong buyer demand in Portugal allowed us to source key development opportunities and unlock another source of wealth for new and existing clients.

In 2017, we diversified into property development and have begun to build an enviable portfolio of our own residential developments in highly lucrative areas of future growth and strong rental yields. We've harnessed our forward-thinking attitude throughout all phases of the development cycle, from identifying opportunities through to planning and construction and after-sales care. Our involvement from start to finish ensures attention to detail and that our due diligence process meets exceptional standards. It also allows us to keep you in the loop at every stage.
