Ron and Pamela Moats have an accountancy practice based in Daytona Beach, Florida. Ron has been a Certified Public Accountant in Florida since 1973. His expertise is in audit and he does a lot of work for local government and small to medium sized corporations. Pamela joined him in 1989. She specialises in US taxation of foreign nationals as they are subject to much more stringent checks than US citizens.

Their association with Brookes started when both companies were working on the Bahama Bay Resort project. Over a number of meetings they realised that there was a real need for specialised tax advice for foreign investors buying in the US, and they started to offer this advice service to Brookes clients. The Moats will help with all aspects of the US taxation process, from getting clients a US taxpayer identification number, to filling in their tax returns and helping with the sale and disposal of assets in the most tax-efficient way.

There are very few US firms who specialise in the taxation of foreign nationals within the United States, and the Moats offer a service to Brookes clients that is very much appreciated.
