Increased Delta flights to increase value of Caribbean property in Dominican Republic Delta to help improve access to Dominican Republic
04/09/2008 @ 13:20

Delta Airlines is to improve global access to Dominican Republic and help boost the value of Caribbean property in the region by adding new flights.

Extra flights will travel from New York's John F Kennedy Airport to Santiago and Santo Domingo from the second week of December, helping to improve access between one of the busiest airports in the United States and one of the most popular growing destinations in the Caribbean.

Christophe Didier, Delta's vice president for Sales and Government Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean, said: "Delta is responding to the needs of the growing Dominican population in New York City, especially during the holiday season when so many of our valued customers fly home to visit friends and family."

The extra flights will also be good news for investors with Caribbean property in Dominican Republic, as the additional tourist numbers seeking a warm Christmas getaway will impact on rental yields and help to boost the economy over the festive season.
